Snow Lake and Source Lake

Went up to Snoqualmie Pass to hike up to Snow and Source Lake. There was some new snow, but not enough to be an avalanche risk. Our hike today was about 8 miles with 1,800 ft of elevation gain. The snow was well packed up to Snow Lake, we used microspikes on the higher elevation.

There were some waterfalls along the ways.
There was also water running over the trail.

The nearby peaks were beautiful with snow.

The red berries were pretty against the snowy background.
View of Snow Lake, coming down from the saddle.

A frozen pond.
Pano of Snow Lake from the first trail down to the lake shore.

We continued along the trail, which crossed a wet section
on some rocks.
Pano from the north side of Snow Lake, we sat and enjoyed our lunch here.

We hiked back down the trail to the junction with the Source Lake trail, which was less packed down.

Looking down on Source Lake.
Wide angle shot of Source Lake at the foot of the peaks.

There were some fungi to be seen.
