Ebey's Landing Summer Hike

View of Ebey's Landing trail on Whidbey Island from the Port Townsend to Coupeville (on Whidbey Island)Ferry:

We drove to the Prairie Overlook Trailhead for a 5.6 mile roundtrip hike with a 260 ft elevation gain. View from the bluffs looking southeast.
We decided to hike on the bluffs headed northwest, there is a slight elevation gain here.
Nice walk along the bluffs, with great views looking over the north Puget Sound area.
Most of the flowers were post bloom, but the rose hips were colorful and there were some berries to be seen.
We then took the switchbacks down to the beach.
Continuing down the swithbacks, great views of the beach.
There were a few wildflowers still in bloom.
Lots of seagulls to be seen, Olympic Mountains across Puget Sound.
Nice walk back along the beach, to where steps would take us back up the bluff to our starting point. A great easy loop hike.
Returned through the prairie to where we began. Mt Baker seen in the distance.
