Blue Dot Trail

Our second hike in White Rock New Mexico today was starting at the Blue Dot Trailhead and hiking the Blue Dot Trail down to the Rio Grande, and continuing a short ways upriver along the River Trail, 2 miles round trip with 800 ft of loss/gain. Besides the lovely views, we also saw a few petroglyphs, a tarantula, a millipede and some fall color.

Red Dot Trail

We drove to White Rock New Mexico to do two short hikes today. The first one was part way along the Red Dot Trail from the Red Dot Trailhead. We hiked only 1 mile round trip with 300 ft of loss then gain, but there were pictographs and petroglyphs and views of the Rio Grande down below us.
