Sunrise Rim Trail

We drove up to Sunrise at Mt Rainier National Park and did a loop hike going from the parking area up the Sunrise Rim Trail to Shadow Lake and then up to the Glacier Overlook a short ways on the Burroughs Trail, returning to the parking area via the Sunrise Campground Trail. overall 3.25 miles/360 ft gain. A beautiful day, with gorgeous views of Mt Rainier.

Mima Mounds

This morning we drove down to Mima Mounds, near Maytown. The camas is in bloom, we enjoyed walking the 3.25 miles of trails.

McCormick Woods

We drove to McCormick Village Park in Port Orchard, and walked across the road to access the trails at McCormick Woods Trail System. We walked some of the trails on the north end, about 3 miles altogether. I enjoyed the forested wetlands. The trails are in great shape with lots of signage. I look forward to coming here agian. Some of the views and wildflowers we saw this morning, including a cone flower (my first time seeing one)
