Hurricane Hill
We drove up to Hurricane Ridge in Olympic National Park this morning to beautiful views and many deer grazing in the meadow below the parking lot. The Hurricane Hill Road is still closed due to one large snow mound across the road, so we hiked along the road (adding 1+ mile each way) to the Hurricane Hill trailhead and up to Hurricane Hill. Our route was 6.3 miles round trip with 920 ft of overall gain. We saw early wiildflowers, many deer, marmots and chipmunks, plus outstanding views, an awesome day of hiking! views from the Hurricane Ridge parking area

Views along the way to Hurricane Hill, we were happy to find wildflowers blooming.

Iron Bear
We drove to the Iron Creek Trailhead off of FSR 120 in the eastern Teanaways to hike up to Iron Bear via the Iron Bear and Teanaway Ridge Trails, 6.3 miles round trip with 1,500 ft of gain. It was a beautiful day with lots of wildflowers in bloom! About 2 miles up the trail, we turned to the right and continued up the Teanaway Ridge Trail, as we crossed the ridge, we had a nice view of Mt Rainier and saw many bitterroot flowers in bloom.
Up on Iron Bear we had great views and found some steerhead flowers in bloom
