THREE HIKING SISTERS, we love to hike together, but we don't all live in the same state. Sometimes it is only two of us, and sometimes we hike with others. This is a record of some of our hikes.

Flatiron Rock and the Castle
This morning we drove out to Oregon Badlands National Monument in the Oregon Badlands Wilderness to hike to Flatiron Rock and the Castle from the Flatiron Rock Traihead off of Hwy 20 east of Bend OR. Our route was 7 miles round trip with only 200 ft of gain.

we saw lots of sand lilies along the trail.

we found one dwarf monkeyflower in bloom here.
From Flatiron Rock we walked about 0.4 mile along the Castle Trail to the Castle and went up and around this rock formation.
From both Flatiron Rock and the Castle, we had nice views of snowy Cascade Peaks

Riley Ranch Nature Reserve
This morning we drove to the Riley Ranch Nature Reserve and hiked the interconnecting loop trails, and most of the side trails. We went in a counterclockwise direction. This is a lovely park and the wildflowers are beginning to bloom. Overall 4 miles/275' loss and gain.
