Picacho Mountains Petroglyph Site

We drove to the Picacho Mountains Petroglyph Site on Arizona State Trust Lands near Picacho Arizona. We walked 1.4 miles around the rocky hill with the petrogyph sites. The largest one was at the parking area.

There were a variety of cacti in this area.

We also saw a sun dog. Some of the petroglyphs we saw:

Carney Springs Trailhead

We stopped at the Carney Springs Trailhead near the Superstion Wilderness to get some photos of the sunrise before driving to the Peralta Trail for our hike today. We went out about 0.7 mile before turning around. Beautiful rock formations in the early morning sun.
