Shakespeare Arch/Sentinel Trail in Kodachrome State Park

We did a second hike in Kodachrome State Park: the Shakespeare Arch/Sentinel Trail, this is a short 2 mile loop hike.

We were to look across to where we hiked in the morning: the Panorama Trail

This trail took us around and up and over a huge rocky area. On one side is the Shakespeare Arch
A side trail goes up close to the arch
The trail continues around the large rocky area,
right by the Sentinel:

The trail winds around to the back of the large rocky area.
The trail splits on the back side, you can continue lower down, or like us go up and over the slick rock.

Panorama Trail in Kodachrome State Park

Kodachrome State Park is east of Bryce NP on Hwy 12. In the morning we decided to hike the Panorama Tail Loop hike. There are 3 different loops on the Panorama Trail, we did about 7 miles of hiking. Beautiful panoramic views on the Panorama Trail!

There are lots of interesting rock formations here.

Lots to see, every direction you look

This one looked like a giant nose to me.

One of the loops, to Cool Cave, was behind this wall.
We continued to enjoy the geology and vistas of the area.
Cool Cave is located within this niche.
We took a lunch break in Cool Cave.

Great colors to be seen.

The trail went by this large rock formation.
Lots of variety on this one large formation.
