South Shore of Phillips Lake
This morning we drove to the South Shore of Phillips Lake near Sumpter OR and made a loop out of a portion of the South Shore Trail, the Deer Lick Trail, the Coyote Cove Trail and finish on a portion of the Rim Rock Trail for 3.6 miles and 260 ft overall gain. The hike is in a pine forest with some views of Phillips Lake and distant Elkhorn Mountains. Sove of the views along the trail:

Chamna Nature Preserve
On our drive to La Grande Oregon, we stopped at the Chamna Nature Preserve in Richland WA and hiked the River, Peninsul Loop and Tapteal Trails making a 3.7 mile loop. This area had lots of trees with some river views.

Kings Canyon Wash - Gould Mine Trail Loop
This afternoon, we drove to the southern end of Saguaro (West) National Park and hiked up Kings Canyon Wash to see the petroglyphs, the continued less than 1/2 mile of the Sendero Esperanza Trail,and down the Gould Mine Trail to the trailhead. About 2.6 miles with 330 ft of overall elevation gain.
