Mount Fremont Lookout

Drove up to Sunrise at Mt Rainier National Park to hike up to the Mount Fremont Lookout, 5.6 miles round trip with 900 ft of overall gain. Beautiful day! View of Mt Rainier from a short ways up towards Sourdough Ridge.

Most of the wildflowers are gone, but there were pasqueflower seed heads and some other flowers still in bloom along the trail:

Mescal Mountain Loop

We drove to the Mescal Trailhead in Sedona AZ to hike a loop around Mescal Mountain, with a side trip up to the Birthing Cave, overall 5.6 miles with 600 ft of gain, most of it going up to the Birthing Cave. Lots of lovely rock formations in Red Rock Country.
