Little Painted Desert Overlook
This morning, we stopped t the Little Painted Desert Overlook northeast of Holbrook Arizona. Beautiful views, I'd love to come back before sunrise to see the colors someday. This area was once a county park, but no longer has any money for upkeep.

Church Rock
On our drive back to Arizona, we stopped at Red Rock Park, east of Gallup New Mexico, and hiked the Church Rock Trail and partway along the Pyramid Church Rock Connector Trail., about 3 miles and 350 ft of overall gain. Lots of rock formations and gorgeous views along this short trail. Parts were very steep.

Along the loop there were a couple of sections where small narrow steps were cut into the steep slippery slope
At the trail junction, we went left and hiked a short way along the Pyramid Church Rock Connector Trail until we found a nice spot to eat lunch and enjoy the views inclucing Pyramid Rock. Afterwards, we returned and continued on the Church Rock Trail.
