Fairyland Loop in Bryce National Park

Our second hike of the day was the Fairyland Loop in Bryce Canyon National Park.  From where we parked, this was a 9 mile hike (8 miles from the trailhead) With an elevation loss/gain of about 800 ft. The trail can be accessed from either Fairyland Point or from near Bryce Canyon Lodge (where we started). The morning light lit up the hoodoos along the canyon walls.

This is a gorgeous trail that wanders down into Campbell Canyon
There are many interesting features all along this trail.

The trail then climbs up along a rise between Campbell and Fairyland Canyons

The loop then connects along the Rim Trail. The views continue for much of this trail.

Mossy Cave Hike at Bryce Canyon National Park

Right off of Hwy 12, east of the road leading to the main entrance of Bryce NP, is the trailhead to a short, beautiful hike: Mossy Cave 1 mile round trip. Wide angle view near the trailhead:

Before the trail ends, it splits, to the west is a short side trail to a waterfall, to the east is Mossy Cave.
