Kasha-Katuwe Tent Rocks National Monument
We had permits to hike in Kasha-Katuwe Tent Rocks National Monument south east of Sante Fe today. This is a fabulous place with fantastic rock formations and a slot canyon. We hiked counterclockwise along the Cave Loop Trail for 1/2 mile to the Slot Canyon Trail (2miles round trip) up through the slot canyon and tent rocks to a high viewpoint. Then returned down and completed the Cave Loop Trail (over all 3.2 miles/650' gain).
