Klahhane Ridge

We drove up to Hurricane Ridge in Olympic National Park this morning to hike the Klahhane Ridge Trail up to KLahhane Ridge, then all the way down the Switchback Trail to catch the shutlle back to Hurricane Ridge, about 5 miles/1,100 ft gain and 1,900 ft loss, We saw lots of deer, some bears, lots of wildflowers and gorgeous views. A great day! Deer in the meadow by the parking arae at Hurricane Ridge
Shortly after we started up the High Ridge Nature Trail closest to the road towards Sunrise Point and the Klahhane Ridge Trail, we were stopped by a ranger as there was a mama bear and 3 cubs heading over to intersect with the trail, aftet getting 2 zoom photos of the cubs, we changed directions and took the High Ridge Nature Trail in the other direction (a loop trail) that goes up along the north side of the ridge.
