We stopped at Artist's Palette in Death Valley this morning, to walk around the colorful hills before the sun rose over the mountains to the east. We heard the colors are much better later in the afternoon, but that would have been too hot for us (over 100F). We walked abut 0.8 mile doing a few loops through this area.
