Tahoe Meadows Loop Hike

We stopped at the Ophir Creek Trailhead at 8,600 ft along the Mount Rose Highway on our way to Lake Tahoe, to hike the Tahoe Meadows Loop Hike in the Humbolt-Tolyabe National Forest. This loop includes part of the Ophir Creek Trail, and the Lower, Middle and Upper Meadow Loops., overall 3 miles and 220 ft of gain.
We went counterclockwise along this loop, starting in the forest. There were wildflowers in bloom all along the way.
There were many white crowned sparrows on the trail today
There was so much alpine lupine in bloom, it was like a carpet in place
other wildflowers we saw along the trail
