Castle Crest Wildflower Trail

On our way to hike the Castle Crest Wildflower Trail in Crater Lake National Park, we saw a bear along the side of the road, that then crossed in front of us.
As we continued to the trail, we saw the clouds lifting, so we pulled over at one of the Rim Viewpoints to enjoy the view of Crater Lake
We the proceded to the Steel Visitor Center, where there is a connector trail to the Castle Crest Wildflower Loop, about 1.3 miles round trip. The lower areas of the park had lots of rain last night, so the flowers were beautiful and soggy.
In one of the meadows we also saw a doe with a new fawn
some of the wildflowers seen along the trail today
We also saw some fungi
