Johns Lake Loop

We drove to the Upper McDonald Creek Trailhead in Glacier National Park to hike the Johns Lake Loop clockwise (2 miles/200 ft gain)

This is a hike in the forest on a well maintained trail, we saw some fresh bear scat, but no bears.

About 1/2 mie up the trail we saw McDonald Falls

The last part of our loop was walking along the side of the road to where we began, great views here looking downstream where Upper McDonald Creek enters McDonald Lake
