Johns Lake Loop
We drove to the Upper McDonald Creek Trailhead in Glacier National Park to hike the Johns Lake Loop clockwise (2 miles/200 ft gain)
This is a hike in the forest on a well maintained trail, we saw some fresh bear scat, but no bears.
About 1/2 mie up the trail we saw McDonald Falls
Mountain view seen across Upper McDonald Creek
View of cascade on Upper McDonald Creek from the footbridge over the creek
View looking downstream from the bridge over the creek
Views at Johns Lake on the other side of the loop trail
The last part of our loop was walking along the side of the road to where we began, great views here
looking downstream where Upper McDonald Creek enters McDonald Lake
looking upstream at Upper McDonald Creek
view on the bridge looking south to these gorgeous peaks
some of the wildflowers we saw along the trail this morning
