We drove up to Lake Sabrina to hike the Sabrina Basin Trail to Blue Lake and the Emerald Lakes. About 8.3 miles round trip with 1,500 ft of overall gain. Beautiful day!

The trail starts at the northeast end of Lake Sabrina and follows along the eastern shore.

Beautiful reflection in Lake Sabrina this morning.

The trail enters the John Muir Wilderness about .75 miles from the trailhead.

The trail goes uphill at the far end of Lake Sabrina.

This creek was cascading over the trail. We took off our boots and waded though the creek on our way up.

At the next creek crossing, we were able to go across on the rocks and hang on to the logs on the side.

Further up the trail, we had a fabulous view of Lake Sabrina below.

Blue Lake from the north shore (10,400 ft)

We crossed over the outlet to Blue Lake on a group of logs.

We found a gorgeous spot along the west side of Blue Lake to take a lunch break.

From our lunch spot at Blue Lake to the farthest Emerald Lake was about 1 mile. The trail dropped down a short ways before going back up to the Emerald Lakes.

We then headed back to the shore of the third Emerald Lake

Heading back down the trail, I think this was a pond near Blue Lake
