West Rocky Prairie Wildlife Area
We were told there were lots of flowers in bloom at West Rocky Prairie Wildflife Area near Tenino, so we drove to the trailhead this morning for a lovely hike, 4 miles round trip with about 100 ft of overall gain.
The first mile of the trail is through a forest. Then we walked around the meadow, where much of the open area was covered in flowers, most of the purple from giant blue eyed Marys.
