On the last day of our road trip, we stopped at Petrified Forest National Forest to do 2 short hikes. The first one was the 0.75 mile paved loop Crystal Forest Trail.Here there are many large fallen trees that turned into petrified wood. Here are a few of them.
There is also some lovely scenery of badlands.
