Hex Mountain Shuttle hike from Corral Creek Trail

We drove up FR 4305 4 miles to the Corral Creek Trailhead, after leaving a car at the Sasse Mountain Trail (taking FR 4305-118 and 118 off) on our way up to the Corral Creek Trailhead. This shuttle hike was  6.2 miles with 2,300' gain.We didn't see any other hikers on these 2 trails, but met 2 hikers on the top of Hex who had come up from the other side on trail #1343.
This was a nice wildflower hike, with wildflowers along most portions of the trail. Near the beginning of the trail, we saw lupine and paintbrush.
The Corral Creek Trail has some steep sections going up along with some more gentle stretches along the ridge line. we had views to the northeast.
Most of this area was burnt in the Jolly Mountain fire a few years ago.
We also had views to the south, here the top of Mt Rainier can be seen to the southwest.
Ridge line hikes provide lots of scenery along the way.

As we neared the trail junction with the Sasse Mountain Trail, we could see snow covered peaks in the Salmon La Sac area.

After lunch, we hiked back down Hex Mountain to the south on the Sasse Mountain Trail to the Sasse Mountain trailhead where we had a car waiting. View of Cle Elum Lake and Mt Rainier as we hiked down the trail

Lots of flowering bushes along the trail.
At one of the switchbacks, we could look back up at Hex Mountain.
