I drove out south of Quilcene in the Olympic National Forest to hike the Elbo Creek Trail. I hiked the trail and turned around at the forest road. 4.8 miles round trip with 1,800 ft of elevation gain. I saw 4 other hikers on this trail today.
This trail is in the forest with large sweeping switchbacks. I was happy to find the rhododendrons in bloom.
The only other flowers I saw in bloom were starflowers.
