De Roux Creek

We drove out to the De Roux Trailhead off of the North Fork of the Teanaway Road to hike part way along De Roux Creek to see the wildflowers in bloom. Our route was about 5.8 miles round trip with 1,300 ft of elevation gain. We only saw two other people out on the trail today, one was a dirt biker the other a backpacker. They both passed us as we were taking our lunch break. View of Esmeralda Peak alonf the North Fork of the Teanaway River from the bridge at the beginning of the trail
This trail is mostly in the forest, which was appreciated on a hot day, and passed a few meadows. Some of our views along the trail
We saw lots of butterflies
some of the wildflowers and berries we saw along the trail
