Summit Loop Mt Howard
This morning we drove to Wallow Lake to take the tramway up to the top of Mt Howard and hike the 2 mile/270 ft gain Summit Loop Trail. We were on the second tram going up at 10 AM and were fortute to see some mountain views before the clouds rolled in. View of Wallow Lake on the drive.

We hiked the loop (with side trails) counterclockwise, going first to Royal Purple, before the clouds hid the views of the Wallowa Mountains 
There were no views at the summit of Mt Howard, (8,261 ft) we enjoyed the walk and the wildflowers we saw
