Hurricane Hill
Drove up to Hurricane Ridge and to the end of the now open Hurricane Hill Road in Olympic National Park this morning. There were some mountain views between the clouds, lots of wildflowers in bloom along with many deer and marmots in the meadows, a gorgeous day! Besides hiking the Hurricane Hill trail, I continued along the trails to the east end of Hurricane Hill, for a hike of 4 miles round trip with 740 ft of overall gain. There were lots of wildlflowers in bloom along the path,
on the side of the mountain,
there were many avalance lilies in bloom in the woods where the snow had recently melted.
Up on Hurricane Hill, some areas were filled with wildflowers
Also on Hurricane Hill, there were marmots on boulders and in the fields, as well as chipmunks
Along the trail and up on Hurricane Hill, deer were grazing and walking through the meadows and it the woods
Various views from walking around the top of Hurricane Hill
zoom photos of Mt Olympus and some of the other peaks
some of the wildflowers seen along the trail today:
