Marymere Falls and Barnes Point

We stopped at Barnes Point on the south shore of Lake Crescent in Olympic National Park to hike to Marymere Falls and around Barnes Point, 2.8 miles and 200 ft gain. View of Lake Crescent looking east at the beginnng of the trail.
The trail goes through a tunnel under Hwy 101 and through a beautiful forest.

on the way back to took the trail (which goes under Hwy 101) towareds the lodge , the to Barnes Point, with great views along Lake Crescent, before returning to the parking area.

We stopped at Bovee Meadows for a picinic lunch, with views to the west on Lake Crescent and where we saw mallard ducks and buffleheads.
