We drove to the De-Na-Zin part of the Bisti/De-Na-Zin Wilderness to hike this morning. We parked at the "trailhead" and there is a trail down into one of the washes. We wandered around in this area for about 6.5 miles and about 350 ft of total gain. A beautiful area with interesting rock formations and lots of petrified wood.

Sights along the way.
One of many pieces of petrified wood

Pano view down into the hoodoos, we did not see a good way down into the hoodoos, so skirted around the edge looking down

We returned part way and then went around almost meeting back up to where we had turned around, sights along our wandering:

Looking almost across to where we had been on the other side.
Heading back to the beginning
