Dege Peak

Only having time for a short hike this afternoon, we drove up to Sunrise Point at Mt Rainier NP to hike up to Dege Peak, 3 miles rt with 900 ft of gain. Along the trail we could see down to Sunrise Lake
View of Dege Peak from early on the trail.

Happy to see wildflowers still blooming.

The top of Mt Rainier was covered in clouds.

The hillsides of Sourdough Ridge were filled with wildflowers.

A little over a mile along Sourdough Ridge finds the side trail up to Dege Peak

Pano along the trail: Dege Peak on the left, view of the Sourdough Mtns and Clover Lake down below.

Moody clouds moving around Mt Rainier
Happy to be hiking in this beautiful park today.

The hike back down was just as enjoyable as the hike up.

There are lots of wildflowers in bloom along the side of the road!
