Garwood Dam and Wildhorse Tank

We drove to the Douglas Spring Trailhead in Saguaro (East) National Park this morning and hiked up to Garwood Dam and Wildhorse Tank, for 5 miles and 500 ft of overall gain. We went up the Douglas Spring Trail for 0.2 miles, then hiked the Garwood Trail up to the Carillo Trail turning left, where we soon saw the Garwood Dam and continued up the draw for a short ways before returning to the trail. We continued on the Carrillo Trail until in intersected with the Wildhorse Trail. We went up the short 0.3 miletrail to the right, up to Widhorse Tank, where there was some water. We returned down the Wildhorse Trail, to within 0.1 mile from the Wildhorse Trailhead, where we turned right to take the Stock Bypass Trail back to the Douglas Spring Trailhead. A great morning hike!
