We drove to Galveston Island State Park to hike the Alligator Trail. We had to park a short ways down the road to start at the Prairie Trail, that led us to the Alligator Loop, overall 2 miles round trip.

We saw lots of wildflowers along these two trails.

Grackle at one of several freshwater ponds.

We spotted an alligator in one of the ponds.
