Miller Peninsula State Park

We did a loop at Miller Peninsula State Park, from the west side of the park hiking along the Manzanita Trail to the Bluff Trail down to the beach, then the Beach Trail and then the mostly closed Fireweed Road back to the Manzanita Trail. Overall we hiked 8 miles with 240 ft of gain.
There were a couple of spots along the Bluff Trail where we had partial views.
view of a distant Mt Baker through the tree branches
There was snow along some parts of the trail.
View from the beach to the northwest
view to the northeast, including Protection Island and a distant Mt Baker

seaweed and kelp on the beach
Some tall madrona trees
some fungi seen along the trail
lovely moss
one of many frozen puddles along the way
