Went on a morning hike up to Lena Lake in the Olympic National Forsest of the Hamma Hamma River Road. We stopped at lunch rock for a break before returning. This is a 6 mile round trip hike with 1,300 ft of gain. The road had no snow on it and there was very little snow on the trail today.
The trail starts with switchbacks climbing up through the forest.
There are lots of lovely moss covered boulders,
wooden bridges,
and small creeks with water overflowing the trail.
There were a couple of small patches of snow on the trail as we got closer to the lake.Beautiful creek before Lena Lake.
