We were fortunate to get permits to enter the South Coyote Butte area of the Vermillion Cliffs National Monument. They give out 20 permits/day. We did not see any other hikers here.We entered at Paw Hole, the southern end of South Coyote Butte.
This entire area is beautiful with the large sandstone structures. I took so many pictures.
It's amazing how the wind, sand and water shape the sandstone.
At the end of the day, we saw a rainbow!Some of the wildflowers and plants we saw on our hike:
