THREE HIKING SISTERS, we love to hike together, but we don't all live in the same state. Sometimes it is only two of us, and sometimes we hike with others. This is a record of some of our hikes.

Umatilla Rim Trail
This afternoon as we were driving across the Blue Mountains on Hwy 204 in NE Oregon, we decided to find a trail where we could stretch our legs. We decided on the umatilla Rim Trail in the Horseshoe Prairie Nordic Ski Area at 5,000 ft. We parked at the Horseshoe Prairie Trailhead and planned to hike out about a mile before turning around. Overall, we hiked 2.4 miles round trip with 230 ft of overall gain. We saw 4 bicyclist and no other hikers while we were on the trail.
This trail goes through a forest, for the portion we hiked, we did not see any views, but we saw lots of wildflowers
