THREE HIKING SISTERS, we love to hike together, but we don't all live in the same state. Sometimes it is only two of us, and sometimes we hike with others. This is a record of some of our hikes.

Owl Canyon
We drove to the Owl Canyon Campground in the Rainbow Basin Natural Area north of Barstow CA to hike partway up Owl Canyon. This canyon has some narrow sections, making it a slot canyon and some areas where scrambling is needed. We enjoyed this hike, so beautiful and a variety of wildflowers in bloom along the way. We hiked 3.5 miles round trip with 500 ft of overall gain. We had the canyon to ourselves this morning.
