Widforss Trail

We returned to the North Rim of Grand Canyon National Park to hike the Widforss Trail, 10 miles round trip with 925 ft of overall gain.
The trail goes through a beautiful pine forest with some peek a boo views along the way to Widforss Point.

We saw this long gopher snake by the trail

At Widforss Point,
we found a great spot to take our lunch break.

Imperial Point and part way on the Ken Patrick Trail

Our third and final hike today at the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, was to Imperial Point and a short way along the Ken Patrick Trail.
A very short distance leads to Imperial Point, wide angle view:

From the west end of the parking area at Imperial Point, is the Ken Patrick Trail heading west

Views along the Ken Patrick Trail, going about 0.65 miles

We returned to the parking area, went to the east end to find the Point Imperial Trail.

Bright Angel Point

Our second hike of the day was very short, a 1/2 mile round trip out to Bright Angel Point on the North Rim of Grand Canyon National Park. This trail was crowded, but we were still able to enjoy the views! Views from along the trail:

In the far distance, beyond the south rim, we could see the San Francisco Peaks near Flagstaff.

North Kaibab Trail to Supai Tunnel

We decided to do a variety of trail portions and viewpoint today. We started with the North Kaibab Trail. We hiked a bit past Supai Tunnel and back. 4 miles round trip with 1,450 ft loss/gain. Was thankful for the cloud cover and cool breeze today.
The upper portion of the trail goes through the forest. Here we had a peak a boo view of a canyon wall.
